And hoping Edmund hasn't noticed the way she's hiding her skin from him, and...maybe more from herself, too.
Because she doesn't like seeing it. Not because it's ugly, exactly, though it is, but because it reminds her.
But she's being good, and walking, some, and trying not to be cranky, and only crying in the shower when she's alone, and smiling as much as she can manage.
Her voice is even back to normal.
She's being good.
She also feels like she's going insane.
