She's stretched out on her back on the grass, gingerly touching her lip--Faith split it, and bruised...more places than she wants to think of--and feeling rather content as she waits for Edmund, absently licking a bit of blood away from the tear after she lowers her hand.

Bruised, but not all that badly, if in many places, and even those don't really hurt.

It's satisfying, and nice out, and she's happy to just look up at the stars.

"No you wouldn't. You'd enjoy it, and not want to admit it." She may or may not mean this.

[iustus_rex]

"Possibly," he allows, agreeably. "Depending on the subject matter, I suppose."

[prydeful]

"What subject matter would it be where you'd enjoy it, then?"

[iustus_rex]

"I'm sure I've no idea at all, in the slightest."

Loftily.

[prydeful]

"Liar." She grins, though, against his shoulder, before squeezing his hand.

[iustus_rex]

"Come now, my lady... I wouldn't do such a thing as that."

He turns his head, pressing a kiss to her hair.

The shore is clear, and while there isn't exactly a path, there's also nothing to give a reason why it is that they're walking quite so closely together.

"Of course not. Don't know what I was thinking."

No reason at all, but no reason not to, for that matter.

Or maybe there is a quiet sort of reason.

"I'd love you even if you did, though, I think."

[iustus_rex]

"I wonder if we should test this at some point," he muses quietly, arm slipping around her shoulders again.

[prydeful]

"Oh, probably. It would be interesting to see the results."

[iustus_rex]

"Might could be slightly dangerous, though."

[prydeful]

"Do you think so?"

[iustus_rex]

"It's a possibility, at least. Don't know how much of one."

[prydeful]

"Well," thoughtfully, "maybe we should do something less dangerous and more fun instead, then."

[iustus_rex]

"Oh, now that sounds like a marvellous idea, my dear. Any suggestions?"

[prydeful]

"We could go swimming."

[iustus_rex]

"-- I suppose we could, at that, although it's a bit, well. Dark, out."

[prydeful]

"Well, what's your idea, then?"

[iustus_rex]

"I suppose I was thinking of something a bit quieter, perhaps? Going back inside after our walk and sitting and reading together, something like that."

Edmund is looking at the water speculatively, even so.

[prydeful]

"We could do that," she says agreeably. "And it would be quiet. And very pleasant. Though I think the water looks rather nice."

[iustus_rex]

"It... doesn't look unpleasant, no," he allows.

[prydeful]

She smiles again. "Well, if you wanted to go inside, though, we can do that, of course."

[iustus_rex]

"It would only be gentlemanly to allow the lady her choice."

[prydeful]

"Come swim with me, then?"

[iustus_rex]

Edmund laughs, quietly.

"All right, I suppose that would be... rather nice, really."

It's a good thing that it's quite late, for the sake of Edmund's modesty, such as it is.

[prydeful]

Kitty grins, and kisses him lightly, before bending over and beginning to untie her shoes, and slipping off her clothes, neatly folding them, and then walking into the water.

"Coming?"
