prydeful: (Let's play pretty pretty princess.)
She's just shopping. For nothing in particular, shopping to do something, to shop, to get away from life at the mansion.

She could go to Milliways.

She needs to be out, though, out and doing, and so she's here, in antique stores and flea markets and whatever else men thought to throw in, looking for the hell of it.

She's just shopping.

No intent in mind.

But she sees the ring, and she pauses.

It's a lion. A ring with a lion, and she picks it up carefully, fingers barely touching.

There's a B on the side she'd need to get removed--or changed into an E, perhaps--and it looks a size too large, but that could be fixed.

Kitty looks at the lion, figertips tracing the features, the curve of the mane.

I'd love to marry you someday.

It's a moment, and she makes the decision, buying it and placing the box she's given into her canvas bag.

It's just a gift.

Just a gift.

...But just in case, she'll keep it for a while longer, until she's sure why she's giving it.
